Hireafan.com: FAN OF THE WEEK
FAN OF THE WEEK WILL RESUME UPDATES ONCE I RETURN FROM VACATION IN MID JANUARY.
Congratulations Chris on becoming the new Fan of the Week
Chris was assigned the Vancouver/Calgary NHL game this week. Calgary won, and it was most likely because we had a fan on the game. (We like to think so anyway!)
Dear Hireafan.com Staff

The Canucks came out flying in this game and looked like a completely different team that the one that was thumped 6-0 a few nights ago. Vancouver powerplay proved to be deadly early on as they capitalized on Flames penalties netting themselves 2 goals. Calgary didn't show much intensity until Iginla was pasted by Matt Cooke in the middle of the second period. Whether it was the bone-crushing hit or not, Iginla was ignited, as moments later he drove fast and hard to the Canucks net sliding the puck underneath Luongo. After that first Flames goal, they started to pick up the intesity and carried it into the third period. They tied the game on a pretty passing play. It was Iginla again working and spinning with the puck in the corner, getting it out to Tanguay who then fed the biscuit perfectly to Warrener who made no mistake. Then late in third, Lombardi took it end to end dishing it to the trailing Husalius who backhanding the puck high in the top corner. That put the Flames up 3-2 with only a few minutes remaining. The Canucks had some great chances late as they had a powerplay as well as pulled their goalie to give them a 6-4 advantage, but failed to score on Kipper. Flames win their 4th in a row!
